About The Position
The Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD has multiple opportunities for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) in our Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS) Degree Programs. Unit 18 Lecturers are governed by the Memorandum of Understanding ( Contract | UCnet ). We seek applicants to teach at the graduate level in the master's degree programs Convergent Systems Engineering (CoSE) or the Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering (AESE). Requirements
- Teach at the graduate level in the master's degree programs Convergent Systems Engineering (CoSE) or the Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering (AESE).
Responsibilities
- Grading: Lecturers are responsible for turning in grades and other student records by the assigned due date.
- Feedback: Lecturers should provide constructive feedback to students. They may also advise students on academic matters.
- Supervise teaching assistants
- Keep office hours
- Respond to inquiries from students, departments, and other university personnel.
- Guide senior students in their independent study research.
