The Department of Architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer pool in the area of Interior Architecture to teach online in the Master of Interior Architecture Program. The university is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22-campus California State University system and is known for its learn-by-doing approach and Teacher Scholar Model. The College of Environmental Design (ENV) connects people, places, and environments, educating future designers to shape the built and natural environments. The Department of Architecture offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a Master of Interior Architecture which is an online professional degree accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). This program aims to prepare individuals with a minimum of a bachelor's degree for rigorous study, enabling them to enter the field of interior design and take on leadership roles. The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends in mid-May. Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available. Applications are welcomed from individuals experienced and student-centered to teach in the following subject areas: Building Codes, Interior Detailing and Building Systems; Sustainable Strategies in Interior Architecture; Foundational Interior Architectural Design Studio; and Interior Architectural Practice.
