About The Position

The College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) Special Sessions/Campus Partner Programs at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) is seeking applications for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. CSUDH values diversity and is looking for candidates with experience teaching and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The CCPE extends the University into the community through various self-supported and state-supported educational programs and services, including Winter and Spring Intersessions, Special Sessions Partner Programs, Open University, Credit and Noncredit Extension, Certificate Programs, and the Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in the field relevant to the curriculum or related discipline for teaching 300 and 400-level courses.
  • Experience in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students from diverse ages, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • Evidence of strong teaching.
  • A Doctorate degree and/or extensive professional experience is required for teaching 500-level courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in the College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) portfolio of credit extension courses.
  • Courses are assigned by academic departments and scheduled through CCPE.
  • Staffing for course assignments determined by department chair and or program coordinators as needed.
