About The Position

Positions in this job family are involved in assisting the recreation department and other ancillary staff with any non-direct care need and duties with residents. Employees perform tasks under direct supervision of a state employee. Temporary Service Staff will NOT be allowed to provide any direct care (feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.). Temporary Service Staff may also serve in non-patient care rolls such as door greeter, housekeeping, food service, etc. Some agencies may have determined position in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age prior to the first day of employment.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with one-on-one/bedside activities, and group activities such as bingo, department/holiday parties, cookouts, music programs, ice cream socials, shopping trips, outings, tournaments, church services, and any other activities.
• Assist with decorating/setting up for holidays.
• Assist with keeping the recreation area and auditorium clean and organized as needed.
• Assist in the clothing room when needed.
• Assist with getting residents to/from activities.
