The Opportunity CCWD is seeking two Temporary Clerical Workers to support a variety of departments across CCWD. Temporary Clerical Workers are utilized on an as-needed basis to support employee absences, temporary vacancies, special projects, emergencies, and other operational staffing needs across the CCWD. Assignments and work hours vary depending on departmental needs and may range from occasional short-term coverage to longer-duration assignments, with staffing needs often increasing during holiday and peak vacation periods.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by course work in business, economics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Four years of highly responsible administrative or complex secretarial experience providing support to a high-level administrator.
  • Possession of a valid California driver’s license to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to assigned departments and CCWD staff.
  • Answer phones, assist visitors, respond to inquiries, and provide customer service.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents.
  • Maintain files, records, calendars, schedules, and departmental documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, training sessions, appointments, and conference logistics.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Support special projects and short-term operational assignments.
  • Learn and follow department procedures, policies, and administrative processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive or personnel-related information.
