Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of part-time Temporary Cashier from June 9 – October 1, 2026, at our Food Store location in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Requirements

Honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
Clear, polite, and professional communication with customers and coworkers.
Attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
POS experience and can work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
Can fulfill physical job requirements, standing for extended periods with some repetitive motions.
Flexible work schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Perform cashing duties, serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves, perform general housekeeping duties.
Knowledge and working understanding of the point-of-sale (POS) system, accept payments in cash, credit/debit and provide accurate change when necessary.
Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to lottery.
Keeping workstation tidy, organized, and sanitized.
Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
