Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of part-time Temporary Cashier from June 9 – October 1, 2026, at our Food Store location in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Requirements

  • Honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Clear, polite, and professional communication with customers and coworkers.
  • Attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
  • POS experience and can work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
  • Can fulfill physical job requirements, standing for extended periods with some repetitive motions.
  • Flexible work schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Perform cashing duties, serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves, perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Knowledge and working understanding of the point-of-sale (POS) system, accept payments in cash, credit/debit and provide accurate change when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to lottery.
  • Keeping workstation tidy, organized, and sanitized.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
