Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of part-time Clerk/Cashier (2 Positions) at our Food Store location in Paddockwood, Saskatchewan. Requirements

  • 19 years of age or older.
  • Strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
  • Attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
  • Can fulfill physical job requirements, working both inside and outside, standing, kneeling, crouching, and performing heavy lifting regularly.
  • Can work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves, dispense fuel and propane.
  • Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department; clean up breakage and spills, clean shelves, bins and displays as needed, and keep aisles free of debris.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to wine, spirits, beer, tobacco and lottery.
  • Knowledge and working understanding of the pumps and propane.
  • Operate point of sale system and other electronic devices and process sales.
  • Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in first out (FIFO).
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
