About The Position

Lake Country Co-op is seeking to hire three part-time Student Grocery Clerks at its Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. As a co-operative, Lake Country Co-op operates on principles of honesty, innovation, responsibility, and respect, aiming to deliver exceptional experiences for members and guests, strengthen communities, and reinvest in sustainable growth. The role involves providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, retrieving carts, maintaining department cleanliness, monitoring inventory, and preventing merchandise loss.

Requirements

Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work.
Strongly service oriented and motivated, capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
Ability to lift and load products; extensive physical labour is required including lifting of 25-50lbs, climbing ladders and kneeling.
Can work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
Flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles with a strong customer-focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Serve guests, pack groceries, stock and face shelves, cart retrieval.
Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department; clean up breakage and spills, clean shelves, bins and displays as needed, and keep aisles free of debris.
Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow FIFO.
Maintain a constant alert against the unauthorized removal of merchandise.
Perform other duties as assigned.
