About The Position
This appointment is necessary due to the unexpected resignation of the instructor shortly before the start of the semester. CBE 493L is a required senior-level capstone course that integrates the principles of chemical engineering through the design of industrial processes and systems. Timely instruction is essential to ensure students remain on track for degree completion.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities
- Teach CBE 493L – Chemical Engineering Design during the Fall 2026 semester.
- Develop and deliver lectures, laboratory instruction, and design activities that support the course learning objectives.
- Mentor student design teams throughout the semester, providing technical guidance and feedback.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, reports, presentations, examinations, and design projects.
- Maintain regular communication with students through the University's learning management system and hold office hours or equivalent availability.
- Submit grades and maintain course records in accordance with University policies.
- Coordinate with the Department Chair and faculty to ensure continuity of the capstone curriculum and achievement of ABET student outcomes.
