About The Position

The UNM-Taos Department of Nursing seeks to hire a Temporary Part-Time Faculty member to teach NMNC 1235 Assessment and Health Promotion, clinical instructor for Fall 2027. This course introduces nursing students to the assessment of and health promotion for the healthcare participant as an individual, family, or community, utilizing seminar, laboratory, and/or clinical settings. The proposed base salary is $2,396.91 per credit hour, with 3 credit hours totaling $7,190.73, based on education. This posting is for face-to-face course delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing
  • Current unopposed New Mexico license as a registered nurse or approved multistate license
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience working as a registered nurse

  • Teaching experience in a post-secondary institution, particularly community college experience
  • Professional certification related to nursing and/or nursing education
