About The Position

This position is responsible for monitoring temperature and insuring products have passed all critical control points while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Taking temperatures and accurately documenting the product cook and frozen temperatures on process control charts. Present data in an organized, legible manner and graph data on SPC chart. Notify production Supervisor according to written procedures in HACCP and Prerequisite programs. Locate, identify production and or HACCP personnel. Work when needed. Learn and record information in Plant View Systems. Function well under stress. Follow CNQ/HACCP plan and all USDA. This position works on weekends. All other duties assigned by Supervisor. This position constantly communicates with Team Members and supervisors, therefore, requires good and effective communication skills written and oral. Must be able to read and write temps and any other paperwork required by USDA and CNQ guidelines. Must be able to do simple math as this is needed when collecting temperatures.

Requirements

  • 6 months continuous work history in 2 years
  • Provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
  • Rehires accepted after 365 days, only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson.
  • Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
  • Must be able to do simple math.
  • Must be able to read and write temps and any other paperwork required by USDA and CNQ guidelines.
  • Good and effective communication skills written and oral.

  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex. If there no qualified candidates at this facility, candidates from other locations will be considered.
