About The Position

The Teller serves customers by processing deposits, check cashing, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions; explaining financial services; and providing outstanding customer service. The role also assists with account opening, ATM/debit card PIN setup, and documenting and filing items in Synergy. Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required. The position reports to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

• Valid driver license.
• High school diploma.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Enthusiastic, positive, and outgoing personality.

• Previous cash handling or teller experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements, and record deposits in the computer system.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals after verifying signatures and customer balances.
• Promote and explain services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
• Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments; verify amounts due, enter payments, and issue receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Keep teller stations stocked with forms and supplies.
• Maintain effective working relationships with coworkers.
• Develop the skills and knowledge needed for the position.
• Perform other similar or related duties as necessary and other duties as assigned.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Set up PINs for ATM/debit cards.
• Document and file items in Synergy.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing when required.
