About The Position

The Teller receives and processes deposits, cashes checks, handles withdrawals and payments, and provides customers with information about financial institution services. The role delivers outstanding customer service, assists with account-opening procedures, pins ATM/debit cards, and documents and files items into Synergy. Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required. Other similar, related, or assigned duties may also be performed.

Requirements

Valid driver license.
High school diploma required.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Good mathematical skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Enthusiastic, positive, outgoing personality.

Nice To Haves

Previous cash-handling or teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive checks and cash for deposit; verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
Cash checks and process withdrawals; verify signatures and customer balances before paying out money.
Promote and explain services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments; verify they match the balance due, enter them into the computer, and generate customer receipts.
Count, check, and package coins and currency.
Keep teller stations stocked with forms and supplies.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the position.
Deliver outstanding customer service.
Assist with account-opening procedures.
Pin ATM/debit cards.
Document and file items into Synergy.
Travel to other branches to assist with staffing when required.
Perform other similar or related duties as necessary and other duties as assigned.
