About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller for its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately processing transactions and delivering a welcoming, reliable experience. Tellers serve as a primary point of contact and represent the branch through strong service, attention to detail, and genuine care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping employees understand customer needs and introduce relevant products, services, and digital tools. Tellers identify opportunities to support customers and connect them with the appropriate banker for more detailed product conversations. They work closely with branch teammates to support daily operations and provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo describes this position as an entry point to retail banking and longer-term career growth, supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The position is located at 660 Bailey Rd, Pittsburg, CA 94565. The schedule will include Saturdays. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The listed base pay range is $22.00–$27.50; employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships and actively listen to understand everyday financial needs.
Connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Clarify customer needs and provide clear, simple solutions or next steps through effective communication and active listening.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; fulfill risk and compliance obligations; and escalate and remediate issues in a timely and effective manner.
