About The Position

Wintrust is seeking a full-time Teller to provide personalized banking service at a community bank branch. The role involves processing and balancing financial transactions, operating a teller drawer for customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up, identifying potential cross-sell opportunities, and directing customers to appropriate bank personnel. The Teller must follow department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures, support Wintrust’s culture, and develop the ability to recognize and report potential fraud. The position may also involve opening or closing the bank, participating in community events, and traveling between branches. The estimated hourly rate is $19.00–$21.00, with eligibility for an annual bonus; actual pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
High school degree or GED.
Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Travel between branches may be necessary.

Responsibilities

Process and accurately balance financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments.
Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up.
Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
Develop skills to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Uphold the established Wintrust culture.
May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
May be required to participate in community events.
