Full Time Teller - Hoffman Estates, IL
About The Position
Wintrust is seeking a full-time Teller to provide personalized customer service at its community bank in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The role processes and balances financial transactions, operates a teller drawer in the lobby or drive-up area, identifies potential cross-selling opportunities, and develops the ability to recognize and report potential fraud. The Teller must follow department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures and uphold Wintrust’s culture. The role may also involve opening or closing the bank and participating in community events. Travel between branches may be necessary. The estimated hourly rate is $19.00–$21.00, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus; actual pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
- High school degree or GED required.
- Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Travel between branches may be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Process financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments, and accurately balance them.
- Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up area.
- Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
- Develop skills to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
- Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures, and uphold Wintrust culture.
- May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
- May participate in community events.
- Travel between branches when necessary.
