About The Position

Security Financial Bank is seeking a friendly, dependable Casual Part-Time Teller for its Ladysmith branch. The Teller serves as a customer-facing representative of the community bank, assisting with everyday financial needs, building customer relationships, handling cash accurately and responsibly, identifying customer needs, and supporting branch operations and regulatory compliance. The position is primarily scheduled for rotating Saturday mornings, with possible additional weekday afternoon shifts based on branch needs and employee availability. Casual part-time employees work up to 19 hours per week. The selected candidate must be available for more frequent weekday shifts during the initial training period.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent, or currently working toward a high school diploma.
• Dependability and a strong record of reliability and customer service.
• Prior cash-handling experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to balance transactions accurately.
• Friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
• Computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems.
• Availability for rotating Saturday morning shifts and more frequent weekday shifts during the initial training period.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift, grasp and infrequently lift up to 40 pounds, and bend or stoop as job duties require.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions.
• Verify checks, endorsements, and customer identification.
• Balance the cash drawer daily and assist with branch balancing tasks.
• Answer customer inquiries in person and by phone while maintaining confidentiality.
• Refer customers to other SFB team members for specialized services.
• Support branch operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Represent the organization at appropriate functions.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
