About The Position

PlainsCapital Bank is seeking a Teller at its 4th Street branch. The Teller processes a variety of financial transactions, including cashing checks, receiving deposits, distributing withdrawals, processing transfers, accepting loan payments, and preparing change orders. The role provides excellent customer service through a courteous, professional manner and accurate transaction processing. The Teller also supports branch operations, cash balancing, customer account inquiries, document handling, and branch opening and closing duties. Responsibilities may change at the Company’s discretion, and the listed duties are not exhaustive.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Six months of previous cash, sales, and/or customer service experience.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with basic calculator skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, as well as custom applications and systems.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional customer service while accurately processing transactions.
Process checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and change orders.
Inform customers about bank products and services, their features and benefits, and refer customers to appropriate staff.
Perform scheduled branch opening and closing duties in accordance with security and dual-control requirements.
Maintain and balance the daily cash drawer and other receipts; balance the ATM when required; and assist with vault, TCD, and/or TCR balancing.
Verify customers’ signatures, account ownership, and identification.
Use the banking system to obtain account numbers and balances and research customers’ transaction questions.
Wrap and bag coin, verify currency, mix new currency, and turn in mutilated currency.
Process mail, night-drop, and ATM deposits.
Scan and upload documents to the appropriate file or department.
Perform other duties as required.
