About The Position

Wintrust is hiring a part-time Teller to provide customer service and process financial transactions at its Gladstone Park location in Chicago, Illinois. The role involves operating a teller drawer in the lobby or drive-up, accurately balancing transactions, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and following bank and regulatory policies. The teller may also help open or close the bank and participate in community events. Travel between branches may be necessary. The estimated hourly rate is $19.00–$21.00, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus; actual pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
• High school degree or GED.
• Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately balance financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments.
• Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up.
• Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
• Develop the ability to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
• Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Uphold Wintrust's established culture.
• May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
• May be required to participate in community events.
• Travel between branches as necessary.
