About The Position

Wintrust is seeking a part-time Teller to provide personalized service at its Gladstone Park location in Chicago. The role processes and balances customer financial transactions, operates a teller drawer in the lobby or drive-up, identifies cross-selling opportunities, and helps recognize and report potential fraud. The Teller follows bank, department, and regulatory policies and procedures and upholds Wintrust culture. The position may also involve opening or closing the bank and participating in community events. Travel between branches may be necessary.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
• High school degree or GED.
• Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Travel between branches may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately balance financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments.
• Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up.
• Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
• Develop the ability to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
• Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Uphold the established Wintrust culture.
• May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
• May be required to participate in community events.
