About The Position

Wintrust is hiring a part-time Teller to provide personalized banking service at its Wilmette, Illinois location. The role processes and balances a variety of customer financial transactions, operates a teller drawer in the lobby or drive-up, identifies opportunities to connect customers with appropriate bank personnel, and follows applicable bank and regulatory policies. The Teller may help open or close the bank and may participate in community events. Travel between branches may be necessary, and the position requires availability for all shifts, including Saturdays.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
High school degree or GED.
Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Travel between branches may be necessary.

Responsibilities

Process and accurately balance financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments.
Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up.
Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
Develop the ability to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures, and uphold Wintrust culture.
May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
May be required to participate in community events.
