About The Position

Wintrust is hiring a full-time Teller in Wilmette, Illinois. The Teller processes and balances financial transactions, operates a teller drawer in the lobby or drive-up, identifies potential cross-selling opportunities, develops skills to recognize and report potential fraud, and follows department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures. The position may also involve opening or closing the bank and participating in community events. Travel between branches may be necessary. The role requires availability for all shifts, including Saturdays, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
High school degree or GED required.
Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Travel between branches may be necessary.

Responsibilities

Process financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments, and accurately balance them.
Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up.
Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
Develop skills to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Uphold the established Wintrust culture.
May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
May be required to participate in community events.
