About The Position

Wintrust is hiring a full-time Teller in Hinsdale, Illinois. The Teller processes and balances financial transactions, operates a teller drawer, and serves customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up. The role also involves identifying potential cross-selling opportunities and directing customers to appropriate bank personnel, developing fraud-recognition skills, and complying with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures. The Teller upholds Wintrust’s culture and may handle bank opening or closing and participate in community events. Travel between branches may be necessary. The position requires availability for all shifts, including Saturdays, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
• High school degree or GED required.
• Must be available to work all shifts, including Saturdays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Travel between branches may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately balance financial transactions, including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments.
• Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in the lobby or drive-up.
• Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
• Develop the skills to recognize potential fraud and report it to management as necessary.
• Comply with department, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Uphold the established Wintrust culture.
• May be responsible for bank opening and closing.
• May participate in community events.
