About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network. In this front-line, customer-focused role, the Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately completes transactions, and provides a welcoming, reliable experience. As a primary point of contact, the Teller represents the branch through strong service, attention to detail, and genuine care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping Tellers learn about customers’ needs and introduce helpful products, services, and digital tools. Tellers identify opportunities to support customers and connect them with the appropriate banker for detailed product discussions. They work with branch teammates to keep daily operations running smoothly and provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo describes the position as an entry point to retail banking and long-term career growth, supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The position is at 146 Western Blvd, Jacksonville, NC 28546-5728. The schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking methods, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships, listen to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in line with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly and use active listening to clarify customer needs and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable policies and procedures and fulfill risk and compliance obligations, including timely escalation and remediation of issues.
