About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network in a customer-focused, in-branch role. The Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs by accurately processing transactions and providing a welcoming, reliable experience. As a primary point of contact, the Teller represents the branch through strong service, attention to detail, and genuine care. The role involves learning about customers’ needs, introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools, and connecting customers with a banker for detailed product discussions. The Teller works with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching, and the role offers exposure to retail banking and opportunities for career growth. This is a part-time position at the Berkeley Heights, New Jersey branch. The schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The stated base pay range is $22.00–$27.50; pay may vary based on factors including performance, skills, experience, and work location, and employees may also be eligible for incentives.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking methods, including digital tools, self-service options, or an appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen actively to understand everyday financial needs; connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercising sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, ask questions to clarify customer needs, and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable Wells Fargo risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
