About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller to join its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurate transactions, and welcoming, reliable service. Tellers serve as a primary point of contact, learn about customer needs, introduce relevant products, services, and digital tools, and connect customers with bankers for more detailed product conversations. They work with branch teammates to support daily operations and a consistent customer experience. The position offers exposure to retail banking and opportunities for career growth supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The role requires working a schedule that includes Saturdays. The posting location is 501 Elden St, Herndon, Virginia 20170-4719. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The base pay range is $24.00–$31.00; employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or an appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships, listen to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly and use active listening to clarify customer needs and explain solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
