About The Position

The Teller receives and verifies deposits, cashes checks, processes withdrawals and payments, and maintains accurate computer records. The role promotes the bank’s services, supports account opening, pins ATM/debit cards, and documents and files items in Synergy. Tellers maintain stocked workstations, count and package currency, provide outstanding customer service, and build effective relationships with coworkers. Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required, along with other similar or assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Good mathematical skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Enthusiastic, positive, outgoing personality.

Previous cash handling or teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements, and enter deposits into computer records.
Cash checks and process withdrawals after verifying signatures and customer balances.
Promote and explain financial services, including CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments; verify amounts due, enter payments, and generate receipts.
Count, check, and package coins and currency.
Keep teller stations stocked with forms and supplies.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge needed for the position.
Perform other similar or related duties as necessary and other duties as assigned.
Deliver outstanding customer service.
Assist with account opening procedures.
Pin ATM/debit cards.
Document and file items into Synergy.
Travel to other branches to assist with staffing when required.
