About The Position

This is not a remote position. The Teller role involves using knowledge of credit union products and services to assess members' needs and assist with their financial transactions while minimizing risk. This includes handling negotiable instruments, documents of identification, transaction authority, and funds availability. The Teller will analyze information presented in virtual tellering systems through an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) and evaluate the authenticity of member-presented documents. Adherence to all federal regulations and TAP Center policies, including transaction limits for cash and checks, is required.

Requirements

  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Punctual, mentally alert, professional in appearance and manner.
  • Good listening skills, ability to greet the public and communicate in a friendly and tactful manner.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk or hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide members with engaging, courteous and professional service in a timely manner via video technology through an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM).
  • Receives and processes member financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, balance inquiries, account research and product information.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Credit Union services, products, policies, and procedures. Identifies opportunities to expand our members’ relationships with the Credit Union through education and referrals to branch personnel.
  • Balances transactions daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.
