About The Position

Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate customer service while assisting customers with teller transactions, deposit account products, and banking inquiries. Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance and an in-depth working knowledge of bank products and services, including the ability to cross-sell products and services as appropriate. The position serves as a deposit accounts representative and may cross-train to cover other areas as needed.

The role is largely sedentary, but requires the ability to bend, twist, and squat. It also involves using standard office equipment and reading and entering information on a computer screen, as well as assisting customers over the phone. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of prior banking experience.
• Prior new account training and experience.
• Friendly and/or outgoing personality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional, positive communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and follow up as necessary.
• Computer skills, including Jack Henry, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Ability to bend, twist, and squat, use standard office equipment, read and enter information on a computer screen, and assist customers over the phone.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of related banking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle internal and external customer needs and inquiries by providing accurate, efficient, and confidential customer service.
• Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of accounts and products to help customers choose options that suit their financial needs.
• Recognize and pursue appropriate opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to existing and prospective customers.
• Complete customer documentation in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support deposit growth through calls to customers and prospective customers and participation in bank activities and community events.
• Participate in available training to strengthen job knowledge.
• Serve as a deposit accounts representative.
• Cross-train to cover other areas as needed.
