About The Position

The Telesales Representative will assess the health plan needs of prospective members, verify Medicare/Medi-Cal eligibility, and facilitate telephonic enrollment. This role involves scheduling sales appointments and seminar reservations. The representative will present benefit information over the phone, mail enrollment information, and assist prospects with completing the enrollment process, ensuring adherence to all state and regulatory guidelines, including CMS programs, scripts, and department policies. The position requires meeting monthly Sales Market Quota goals during LOCK IN and AEP, and maintaining knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and SCAN benefits through required training and certifications. Additionally, the role supports Field Sales Representatives by assigning appointments and setting seminar reservations, initiating follow-up calls on prospect requests, completing welcome calls, and adhering to follow-up goals. The representative must qualify prospects for all SCAN products and manage work lists and customer calendars in the CRM system, contributing to team efforts.

Requirements

  • Valid Health Insurance License required (per CMS requirements).
  • 2+ years of experience in telemarketing or healthcare related field.
  • Proven sales and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Telephonic enrollment(s) by presenting benefit information over the phone, mailing appropriate enrollment information to prospects and assisting prospects with completing the enrollment process.
  • Follow all state and regulatory guidelines by adhering to programs implemented by CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services).
  • Adhere to required Sales Market Quota goals each month during LOCK IN and AEP.
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal and SCAN benefits by successfully completing Sales/Membership Certification, Sales Orientation Training, Medi-Cal Certification training other department or company training modules as required.
  • Support Field Sales Representatives by assigning in-home appointments and setting reservations to seminar sales presentation meetings and/or other sales events.
  • Initiate follow up calls (outbound calling) on all prospect requests with PTC (permission to call) for additional SCAN information.
  • Complete the 30/60/90 Days Welcome Calls.
  • Adhere to required follow-up goals.
  • Qualify prospects for all SCAN products and efficiently manage the designated work lists and scheduled customer calendar events in CRM system.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
