About The Position

Answers high volume of calls and transfers to the correct telephone extensions while prioritizing medical emergency Codes and STATS. Follows procedure to alert appropriate departments and authorities. Maintains on-calls statistics for multiple departments. Places outbound calls. Provides information (room #s, in house telephone numbers, hospital information, etc.) to customers. Overhead pages approved announcement.

Requirements

  • Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

  • Previous computer skills
  • Switchboard or receptionist experience
  • Demonstrated basic typing skills
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated practical and technical knowledge relevant to the position
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a multitude of tasks
