Visit us online at: https://www.nwths.com/careers Position: Telephone Operator Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Telephone Operator is responsible for providing courteous, efficient communication between the public, our patients and their families, the Staff and Physicians. The position serves as support to all areas under Business Office Systems with various duties as outlined in the job specific duties. This position supports an organizational culture for service excellence and practices the service excellence standards to all customer groups. Demonstrates ability to effectively assess and implement job responsibilities according to departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years job related experience recommended
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
  • Bending, lifting (10-20 lbs.), grasping, fine hand / eye coordination, pushing and pulling, prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to tolerate low noise levels for long periods.
  • Ability to function when exposed to hazardous chemicals and / or bio chemicals.
  • Ability to discriminate color.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college education in related field desirable.
  • Flexibility, self-motivation and high tolerance for stressful situations preferred.
