About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Telephone Operator to provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests over the telephone, during check-in, and at check-out while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. The role is described as part of the leadership team and involves guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering guest experiences. The operator handles calls promptly and professionally, provides accurate information, directs requests to the appropriate departments, and supports smooth communication so teams can respond quickly to guest needs.

Requirements

• Computer experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous hospitality or related experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all guest requests are distributed to the proper departments.
• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Obtain all necessary information when taking room, cabana, and bungalow reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
• Be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions at the resort.
• Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure that all standards are met, if applicable.
• Handle calls promptly and professionally, provide accurate information, and direct requests to the appropriate departments.
• Support associates by ensuring smooth communication flow and helping teams respond quickly to guest needs.
