About The Position

Telemetry Technician at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .6 FTE, night shift opening (7pm-7:30am, 2, 12 hour shifts per week) with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The Tech-Monitor under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse, has the responsibility for monitoring, documenting, and reporting the ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit. The position is an important communication link with the RN regarding changes in cardiac rhythms. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of a Medical terminology course Or, equivalent educ/experience.
  • Completion of a basic ECG course, or completion within 30 days of hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting the ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit.
  • Serving as a communication link with the RN regarding changes in cardiac rhythms.
