Telemetry Monitor Tech Day Shift
About The Position
Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts – Central Campus is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Tech. The hospital is a 47-bed critical care hospital in Rochdale, Massachusetts, providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The facility describes its work environment as fast-paced and friendly, with opportunities to get to know patients and their families. The Telemetry Monitor Tech continually monitors telemetry units and promptly alerts appropriate personnel to significant changes in readings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous telemetry monitoring experience and/or equivalent education in telemetry monitoring and reading.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- One year of healthcare experience.
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
