About The Position

The Monitor Tech supports the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care. The role requires effective communication, including relaying important EKG changes to nursing staff. The Monitor Tech maintains competency in EKG interpretation, monitoring-system computer skills, and other job-related functions. The position also routinely performs Unit Secretary duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete and pass the EKG Class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of hire.
• BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Monitor training and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in all interactions and relay important EKG changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain competency in EKG interpretation, monitoring-system computer skills, and other job-related functions.
• Vigilantly monitor EKG dysrhythmias and report and document them according to policy.
• Perform Unit Secretary duties for the unit as assigned.
