About The Position
The Lehigh County Communications / 911 Center is accepting applications for Telecommunications Operators. This is a professional position taking 911 and other emergency calls for help from the public and dispatching those calls to the appropriate agencies. TESTING IS REQUIRED AND APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED AS TO THE DATE AND TIME OF TESTING.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Pass computer test with score of 85% or higher.
- A completed COUNTY APPLICATION and a VALID EMAIL ADDRESS should be submitted for consideration.
- Pass a hearing & drug test which is required at the employee's expense.
- Pass a Criminal History Background Check - the background check must be completely clear.
Nice To Haves
- Public Safety experience
- Current 911 Certifications (CLEAN / NCIC)
- Medical Priority EMD
- PA State 911 Certification
