The Lehigh County Communications / 911 Center is accepting applications for Telecommunications Operators. This is a professional position taking 911 and other emergency calls for help from the public and dispatching those calls to the appropriate agencies. Testing is required and applicants will be notified as to the date and time of testing. The selected candidate must meet the following criteria: Pass computer test with score of 85% or higher. A completed COUNTY APPLICATION and a VALID EMAIL ADDRESS should be submitted for consideration. No resumes will be accepted without a completed County application. If you do not submit a completed County application, you will NOT be contacted to take the test - NO EXCEPTIONS. 911 testing is required. The selected candidate must meet the following criteria: Pass a hearing & drug test which is required at the employee's expense. Pass a Criminal History Background Check - the background check must be completely clear.
