About The Position

Encepta is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Lead to join their Data team to support the delivery of Physical Premise Count (PPC) projects across Canada. This role involves working at the intersection of GIS, data quality, project coordination, and field operations. The project lead will support field teams, monitor project progress, improve reporting, build dashboards, and identify smarter ways to work to ensure projects remain accurate, efficient, and on track. Requirements

1–5 years of experience in GIS, data analysis, telecom, utilities, infrastructure, field operations or project coordination.
Diploma, degree or equivalent experience in GIS, geomatics, geography, data analysis, engineering technology, telecom, utilities or a related field.
Strong experience with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, ArcPy, QGIS, Google Earth and Fulcrum.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, dashboards and data analysis.
Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate people and support high-quality project delivery.
Working knowledge of Python, ArcPy and SQL.
Confident written and verbal communicator who can lead check-ins, provide feedback and work effectively with field teams, clients and internal stakeholders.
Telecom, fibre, utility, municipal infrastructure or asset-management experience is highly valued.
TELUS systems knowledge, including TOPPs, Jira or MyWorld, is an asset.
AutoCAD experience and a valid driver’s licence are additional assets.

Responsibilities

Coordinating Physical Premise Count projects from intake through to final client delivery.
Managing daily project activities, priorities, and documentation.
Leading daily field-team huddles, assigning work, tracking progress, and resolving delivery issues.
Reviewing field data, maintaining quality standards, identifying recurring issues, and providing feedback to improve accuracy and delivery.
Improving reporting, automating manual tasks, and supporting workflow improvements with the software team.
Onboarding new team members, creating training materials, and providing refresher training for field staff.
Cleaning, analyzing, and managing GIS and spreadsheet data.
Maintaining PPC datasets and supporting SQL-based data updates and analysis.
Tracking project progress, productivity, data quality, and KPIs.
Building clear dashboards and reports using GIS data, Excel, and Google Sheets.
