About The Position

Perkins Coie, LLP, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Technology Transactions & Privacy Associate. This position involves handling privacy and product counseling issues, advising companies on US federal and state privacy laws, and potentially developing internal data protection programs, conducting privacy assessments, building data maps, performing data protection impact assessments, drafting privacy policies, negotiating data processing agreements, and advising on cutting-edge privacy issues such as AI, adtech, health data, biometric data, and/or kids and teen data.

Requirements

4-8 years of experience (preferred).
Experience advising companies on US federal and state privacy laws is required.
Strong academic credentials are required.

Experience with developing internal data protection programs.
Experience with conducting privacy assessments and building out data maps.
Experience with performing data protection impact assessments.
Experience with drafting privacy policies.
Experience with negotiating data processing agreements.

Prior peer law firm experience is a plus.
