About The Position

As a Technology Support Specialist, you will help further INFRA’s vision of a sustainable, equitable food system by keeping the tech on track so that our staff and our members can focus on bringing good food to communities across the country. This role involves providing IT support, managing hardware/software inventory, conducting IT training and documentation, and researching technical solutions to promote information security and stay current with industry trends.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience working in IT and customer support.
  • Advanced training or certification in an IT field required.
  • Experience proactively and reactively supporting both Mac and PC platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, and SharePoint.
  • Experience educating/training end users in a variety of ways (in-person, written, video).
  • Relationship builder with excellent in-person and remote customer service.
  • Experienced with a hybrid workforce.
  • Performs and prioritizes multiple tasks in a calm manner with great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Skillful problem solver who takes initiative to find solutions and improve upon processes.
  • Professional manner and ability to handle confidential situations.
  • Clear, approachable written and verbal communicator; comfortable with speaking and presenting to large groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in IT field preferred.
  • Experience working with retail POS systems a plus (ECRS, LOC, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II IT support, acting as the primary contact for user issues and troubleshooting tech problems for INFRA staff.
  • Assist members in accessing and utilizing INFRA’s technology tools.
  • Improve member IT best practices and support, advising them on email, POS systems, and other basic tools.
  • Manage and document hardware and software installation, maintenance, and inventory.
  • Support internal trainings, including technical review of documentation and delivery of training.
  • Conduct educational technology user groups and/or in-person events.
  • Research, vet, and test technical solutions.
  • Promote information security within the business.
  • Stay current with industry trends, hardware, software lifecycles, and new technology opportunities.
  • Pitch in to help wherever else may be helpful.
