About The Position

The Macy’s Technology Summer Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while exploring a potential engineering career within our organization. Requirements

• Rising seniors majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with strong academic performance.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Able to apply knowledge of programming languages (Java preferred), operating systems, and data processing to solve real-world challenges.
• Familiar with Agile or similar methodologies, with the ability to contribute effectively to iterative development projects.
• Able to analyze data to identify trends, inform decisions, and understand the intersection of technology and retail business strategy.
• Skilled in working with cross-functional teams, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and the ability to take ownership of tasks while driving results through collaboration and influence.
• Maintains strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate, high-quality work and dependable follow-through.
• Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel.
• Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms.
• Requires close vision.
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.

• Gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and development areas, including: Software Development (Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular.js, Vue.js, React.js, SRE, etc.), Mobile Development (iOS, Swift, Android, SDK, etc.), Cloud Development (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.), Compute and Operations (Python, SQL, Unix/Linux, etc.).
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
