Provide technical support, services and training to faculty, staff, students and outside organizations for software, hardware, peripherals and audio-visual equipment. This role involves assisting the college community with computer, internet, wireless access, and media issues, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and facilitating events by setting up and managing audio-visual equipment. The specialist will also be responsible for setting up, installing, and maintaining equipment, monitoring emerging technologies, integrating new technologies, and maintaining accurate records of equipment utilization and problems. Compliance with district policies and Technology Services standard operating procedures, including copyright laws, is essential. The position supports college-owned computers and remediates security threats. Additionally, the role involves maintaining inventory and active directory, creating knowledge base articles, and assisting with networking and telecommunications as needed. Adherence to electrical and mechanical equipment standards is required.
