About The Position

The Intern supports IDEA’s mission by contributing to day-to-day team operations, project execution, and administrative priorities while developing foundational professional skills in a collaborative work environment. This is a part-time temporary hybrid position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in or are willing to relocate to specific Texas locations. Travel to IDEA training events or step-back may be required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Multi-task oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in college (Spring 2026) and completed a minimum of 1 academic semester with a cumulative GPA or 2.5 or higher
  • Preference given to graduates of IDEA Public Schools (not a requirement to be an IDEA alumni)

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned team with daily operational, administrative, and project-related tasks.
  • Assist with organizing, tracking, and maintaining information relevant to team priorities.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, or materials to support team initiatives.
  • Support special projects and follow-up activities as assigned.
  • Provide professional support to assigned district department and hiring manager.
  • Set professional development goals, receive feedback on progress, and make necessary changes to reach maximum career potential.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities with changing deliverables.
  • Provide excellent customer service and partnership with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to Help Desk support tickets in a timely manner and with strong customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Enter data to support data accuracy and processing across various systems and platforms.
  • Analyze data and create reports to drive decision-making.
  • Effectively and efficiently complete projects or support execution of projects across their lifecycle.
  • Set up and track student and staff technology.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and install computer systems.
  • Configure and automate software installations.
  • Provide administrative, logistical, operational, and event support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
