About The Position

The Technology Business Partner (TBP) is the strategic technology advisor for assigned business domains. The role combines business knowledge, technical acumen, and delivery leadership to connect strategy with executable change. It looks across business capabilities, processes, and platforms to identify high-value opportunities, shape a coherent portfolio of software and data, and ensure project outcomes drive business value. This opening covers various functions within Operations, including portfolio services, trade operations, valuation, performance measurement, fund accounting, and portfolio compliance. The position reports to the head of the Technology Business Partner team.

Requirements

Experience connecting business strategy to technology, data, product, transformation, or operating-model outcomes in investment management, financial services, or another complex, regulated environment.
Ability to build credibility with senior business and technology leaders while constructively challenging requests, priorities, and proposed solutions.
Strong problem-framing, commercial judgment, and systems thinking, including the ability to balance value, risk, cost, architecture, controls, and delivery capacity.
Experience shaping roadmaps, portfolios, business cases, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes across multiple teams and initiatives.
Clear executive communication and ability to create accountability and momentum without relying on direct authority.
Curiosity and ability to develop deep domain expertise.

Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive understanding of business capabilities and processes and the platforms, systems, and data supporting them; align technical initiatives and roadmaps with business strategy and priorities.
Maintain an integrated view of portfolio demand, active initiatives, strategic fit, business value, cost, capacity, risks, and sequencing to support transparent investment and trade-off decisions.
Define business problems before solutions and determine whether needs are best addressed through technology, data, process, controls, operating-model change, or a combination.
Challenge assumptions, evaluate alternatives, develop value propositions, and recommend where to invest, reuse, simplify, standardize, or stop.
Coordinate business sponsors, technical delivery teams, operations, risk, vendor management, and other partners to define ownership, enable timely decisions, identify dependencies, and drive initiatives.
Establish success measures, prepare the business for change, encourage adoption, and ensure delivered capabilities produce expected outcomes.
Provide concise, decision-oriented communication to leadership about portfolio health, strategic choices, unresolved risks, and required actions.
Identify opportunities to simplify the technology estate, strengthen controls and data quality, improve delivery practices, and scale reusable capabilities across business areas.
