About The Position

The Technology Application Specialist is responsible for the implementation and support of LBX's technology plans. This role requires subject matter expertise in technologies used within LBX's portfolio, including Construction, Forestry, and Materials Handling. Key responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive training on applications and feature functionality such as Machine Guidance, Machine Control Solutions, Payload, and Telematics. The goal is to empower dealerships and LBX personnel to confidently sell and support technology on Link-Belt Excavators across various applications, fostering business growth and competitiveness. The specialist will also assist in setting up and ensuring understanding of technology within the business ecosystem of dealers and customers post-initial training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or 4-8 years of relevant industry experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with training programs and/or a distribution organization in the construction equipment industry or related field.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact and work well with others.
  • Excellent technical skills in Microsoft applications and other computer software such as Adobe and Google.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills required to effectively manage and implement established training strategies.
  • Understanding of the ecosystem of the job site (construction, scrap, and forestry).
  • Skilled at problem solving, negotiating, and conflict resolution, while maintaining the long-term focus of the company.
  • Strong excavator product and applications knowledge and understanding of how various components interact to make Link-Belt products the best.
  • Must establish a leadership role within the organization and with dealers.
  • Must maintain uncompromising ethics and integrity.
  • Self-motivated; Passion and drive for success.
  • Strong overall business aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Train sales and support personnel on how to sell and support technology on Link-Belt Excavators through in-person sessions, Link-Belt University, webinars, and other necessary means, providing focused support to both internal and external personnel.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technology training curriculum (virtual and in-person) for all Link-Belt Excavator technology.
  • Collect, consolidate, and translate Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) feedback from training and events into well-organized recommendations.
  • Collaborate with key developers to assist the Product Development team in the development and improvement of technology across all markets LBX serves (earthmoving, forestry, and material handling).
  • Work with key end-user personnel, such as Site Engineers, to properly set up Link-belt equipment within technical job sites.
