About The Position

Flex is seeking an Analyst, Application Technology to be based in West Columbia, SC, reporting to the Director, IT. This role will support SpinCo, a new independent company focused on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. The Analyst will be responsible for providing technical administration and implementation support for one or more applications, ensuring ITIL practices are followed, and aligning IT services with business needs. The primary focus is on system stability, but the role also involves architecting, designing, installing, and setting up applications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training in Computer, Engineering, or Administration, or equivalent.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic people and/or process management skills.
  • Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and comprehension of connections of such processes at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects to ensure proper design and solution.
  • Participate in strategic planning and development of the enterprise architecture.
  • Define, design, implement, and support infrastructure & application solutions.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for the day-to-day maintenance of applications and underlying systems.
  • Ensure knowledge of new implementations and technologies is adequately shared within the team.
  • Ensure adequate monitoring and controls are in place for solution stability, Service-Now incidents, and Baan.
  • Establish clear communication channels and feedback mechanisms with customers, peers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreements with the Business and conduct timely reviews with stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper backup and retention policies are in place to minimize data loss.
  • Minimize 'MTTR (Mean time to Repair)' while fixing problems, including root cause investigation, corrective & preventive actions to increase 'MTBF (Mean time between failures)'.
  • Ensure system compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Propose system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve performance and reliability.
  • Make final resolutions on administrative or operational matters to ensure effective achievement of goals.
  • Review operational success goals, and develop/modify company policies affecting immediate operations and potentially company-wide.
  • Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Work with EIS to ensure the knowledgebase is built and managed, and that the support team is trained on new and updated solutions.
