About The Position

The Technology and Data Specialist serves as Kids’ Food Basket’s internal expert in technology solutions, data stewardship, and organizational effectiveness. This role empowers teams across the organization through innovative technology, actionable data insights, and continuous process improvement. Working collaboratively across departments, you'll help identify opportunities, implement solutions, lead organization-wide initiatives, and support the adoption of tools that enhance communication, collaboration, and decision-making. Your work will help ensure Kids’ Food Basket has the systems, information, and capabilities needed to advance our mission and build a more nourished future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in technology, data analytics, systems administration, project management, or a related field.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 platforms, particularly SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power BI; Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and performance measurement tools.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of process improvement, workflow optimization, systems integration, and emerging technologies, including AI tools and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions.
  • A curious, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset grounded in collaboration, continuous learning, and service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support technology initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Optimize and expand the use of Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power BI, Lists, and Copilot.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital transformation across departments.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that turn data into actionable insights.
  • Partner with staff, vendors, and consultants to implement scalable technology solutions that support strategic priorities.
  • Promote strong data stewardship by ensuring data quality, integrity, accessibility, and reporting consistency.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, managing timelines, stakeholders, and change adoption.
  • Train, coach, and empower staff to confidently use technology and embrace innovation in their daily work.
