About The Position

Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in diagnosing and/or treating disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

The technologist develops and implements appropriate procedure or treatment plans, using established hospital protocols and guidelines. The role requires appropriate radiologic technique and positioning, completion of required documentation, and maintenance of equipment and work areas in a neat and safe condition. The technologist also participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities and completes assigned goals.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in the specialty area, sufficient to meet all Specials competencies by the end of the orientation period.
• Registration in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R)).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; the description specifies obtaining it within 30 days of hire in the education section and within 14 days of hire in the licensure section.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• New graduates must obtain the required registry within 60 days of hire.
• State license as required.

Nice To Haves

• ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional (ARRT(VI)).

Responsibilities
