About The Position

Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in the specialty area, sufficient to meet all Specials competencies by the end of the orientation period.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (ARRT(R)) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; the description specifies both within 30 days and within 14 days of hire.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• New graduates must obtain the required registry within 60 days of hire.
• State license as required.

Nice To Haves

• Registry in Vascular Interventional (ARRT(VI)).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as demonstrated by results.
• Develops an appropriate procedure or treatment plan.
• Implements the procedure or treatment plan using established hospital protocols and guidelines.
• Completes documentation required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure and treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
